This course is for accurate audiometric testing and requires sound theoretical knowledge, a consistent testing method and the ability to recognise unreliable results. It is designed for healthcare professionals who already have knowledge or experience in audiometry and want to refresh their skills in line with current practice.   

In this course, we will review the principles of pure-tone audiometry, relevant ear anatomy and physiology, common causes of hearing loss, and the correct use of audiometric equipment. The delegates will also complete supervised practical activities covering patient preparation, clear test instructions, threshold measurement and audiogram recording. This programme will support you in increasing your confidence when you start conducting clinical or workplace hearing assessments.
